When I found out I was pregnant, I started daydreaming of all the possible "babymoon" trips we could go on before we become tied down by a little one. Unfortunately, we realized that (1) Craig has practically zero breaks from rotations, and (2) we have practically zero money in our bank.

Then one day Craig found out he had a long weekend in the middle of his dermatology rotation. So naturally I jumped on the opportunity and started looking for options. Rocky Point was the perfect solution because it's exciting, right across the border, only 3.5 hours away, we could drive (saving big bucks on plane tickets!), and stay at a beachfront resort for really cheap!

It took me months to convince Craig to go to Rocky Point. You see, having served his mission in Tijuana, he was convinced I was going to get listeria, toxoplasmosis, and/or food poisoning that would kill me and our unborn child, not to mention the high risk of running into kidnappers, carjackers, and cartels. He literally thought of every horrifying possibility. Sooooo it took a lot of work, but by some miracle he finally agreed. We were SO excited that Kristin and Jason flew down and joined us to make our vacation twice as fun!

It turned out to be SUCH a blast. Our condo was gorgeous, the beach was quiet, the food was heavenly, and our company was even better. And Craig admitted that there was no reason to worry -- he was on cloud 9 and worry-free as soon as we pumped him full of authentic Mexican food. I dare say we'll be back again soon.
