The first two weeks of April we were still in St. George. At least Max and I were! Craig had a one-week rotation with Nate in Kingman and another in Spanish Fork. He came home on the weekends and we were so happy to have him back! Max and I hung out with my parents and got to meet up with a few friends from high school. Jasmine actually gave Max his first hair cut, and she is a SAINT for dealing with an easily distracted baby who would not stay still.

This month Max turned NINE months! I can't even believe it -- that month really flew by! At his 9-month check up he was 18.5 lbs (50th percentile) and 29 inches long (90th percentile). Just before he turned 9 months (and right after we left grandma's house), he finally decided to start crawling, and he's just gotten faster since! He had shown zero interest in crawling up until about a week before, when he started doing mountain climbers or inchworming without using his arms (ha!). The same day he started crawling he learned to pull himself up to standing (and was SO proud of himself), which meant we finally moved down his crib. Now that he is mobile, our bottom shelves are disasters! It has been SO much fun watching him explore and become more and more confident navigating. He also started shaking his head and loves to "flex" his arm muscles (he makes a fist and really tenses them, its hilarious). His favorite things are the toothpaste & Desitin tubes, aside from cords, computers, remotes, and everything else he can't have. He is OBSESSED with bananas -- he eats one WHOLE banana for breakfast everyday. I don't know how he eats so much for such a little guy.

One of the things I love most about motherhood is how with each month that goes by, he gets more and more fun. It's so exciting to watch him grow and become more and more like a little person.
